Want to smash last years sales goals? Or maybe you have product that you’d like to clear out of your warehouse but can’t seem to find any takers. If so consider kits and bundles to move it out of your warehouse.
Handling Holiday Leftovers
Between stocking up for the holidays last year and overestimating the popularity on some pet pajamas (which you personally own in every color option) you probably have a bit of overstock on your shelves collecting dust. Stagnant products take up space that you pay for. Those pet pajamas have already cost you $100.00 in storage fees this past year. And what’s worse, they are still costing you! Get rid of them if you have to give them away to random passerby. Well wait. I have a better idea.
Move More Product with Bundled Selling
Okay so we’ve already agreed that there is product on your shelves costing you money. The priority now is to just get rid of it, before it costs you more. A great way to move stagnant product is to bundle it with more desirable or popular items. As long as the two products are related or go together you stand to sell up all those pet pj’s with another popular item. For example let’s say you sold pet sweaters, or even pet food and it happened to be a hot selling item. By bundling the pet sweaters, with the pet pjs and adding a few extra dollars to the cost; they start flying off the shelf. By utilizing your inventory management software like Zenventory, you can easily create a kit or bundle to sell those two items together for a specified cost.
Kits and Bundles
Just in case you weren’t sure, it’s not necessary to physically bundle them together beforehand. Upon selling a kit or a bundle you will simply ship them together. For retail locations, using kits and bundles may give way to displaying the items together in a physical sense, but for eCommerce it is not.
A Kit is: 2 or more items sold together that go together. Bundle: Items sold together that COULD go together, but don’t necessarily have to, such as pet food and pet pajamas
Using the 3 products mentioned above, pet pajamas, pet sweaters, and pet food; here is an example of each.
A Kit: Closely related items
- Pet Pajamas
- Pet Sweaters
A Bundle: Similar items but not necessarily closely related.
- Pet Sweaters or PJ’s
- Pet Food
Get yours ready just in time for the holiday rush. Use it to help you sell more and beat last years sales goals.
