Ubiquia announces Z-Sync for the Zenventory app available on iOS and Android
We’re introducing a robust yet inexpensive solution to ensure efficient electronic order picking without having to print pick slips or purchase expensive RF systems.
Most small to medium-sized businesses cannot afford expensive radio technology to deliver real-time information to mobile-based warehouse workers. By providing a Wi-Fi connection to your warehouse workers, pickers can claim an order using Z-Sync within the Zenventory’s inventory management app for iOS or Android. Z-Sync connects to the Zenventory cloud and claims the order for picking for a particular user.
While the user picks the order it becomes disabled for other users to pick. Orders can be partially or fully picked. When the user is done the order returns to unclaimed. If open items remain on the order another user can claim the order on his or her device for picking.
This synchronization feature means that orders cannot be duplicated in the picking process. Your warehouse workers are still mobile and won’t have to resort to picking from a printed pick sheet. Your business will essentially enjoy the same real-time order picking the big boys deploy using costly RF systems.
Z-Sync also works over cellular networks if Wi-Fi is not available. We offer Zebra’s rugged TC55 or MC40 Android devices for order picking with Z-Sync or you can download the application to your iPhone or Android phone.
