Hello Zenners!
We knew it was time to wrap up the month of September productively. So we figured, what better way to celebrate our team’s hard work and dedication than by attending the NALA AppForum 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The AppForum 2015 was a conference hosted by developers from Zebra Technologies. This 3-day event was designed specifically for software developers, markets, and thinkers from the North American and Latin American divisions. Comprised with keynote speakers and influences like Zach Shelby, Tom Bianculli, and Archana Khetan, to name a few.
Zenventory members dove right into the sessions eager to consume all the talk of cutting edge
ideas and trends from industry speakers. Here’s what they learned:
Zenventory members gathered a couple of strong key points across the various industries that were studied, i.e. Transportation & Logistics, Health Care, Manufacturing, and Retail. Throughout
the marketing sessions that were presented, our Zenseis were able to see opportunities for workflow improvements. Barriers were also introduced to those attending. For instance, there is a growing concern for security and a need for operational improvements without compromising businesses. Real Time Location Solutions also known as RTLs, are crucial for minimizing human errors and reducing company liability working working operations.
Additionally, despite the technological advancement of devices and the need to use them, Zebra discussed potential barriers between industry workforce and the training that would be needed to ease the transition of mobile devices and printers as they evolve; it is regarded as their Internet of Things (IoT). The purpose is to go beyond the expectations. It’s not about showcasing whats new, rather introduce a new way of adapting to a better method through the use of the latest updates.
We learned that the Health care industry, for example, is projected to boost revenue
growth. With a higher demand for services and products, Zebra gave Zenventory members a lead into what hospitals and clinics need to ensure for their customer and providers alike. Health care opportunities to ensure one would close the gap between human errors and improved workflows comprised of introducing a user friendly experience, usability, establishing a chain of custody, and ensuring proof of deliver – again, just to name a few.
Needless to say, the 3-day conference was full of empowering speaks and motivated listeners. It was a learning experience for many. The Zenventory team took home information to last them days and they cannot wait til next year’s AppForum! We hope you’ll join us there!
Keep up with the latest projects and updates on Zenventory’s social feeds.
